Editorial Reviews

Review
Reading Productive Spindling is like having some quality spinning time with a great teacher. For beginners and experts alike, Productive Spindling is an excellent reference compiled from years of spindling and teaching spindling. Thank you, Amelia! --Sheila Bosworth, maker of Bosworth Spindles

There is a new book available for the spindlers among us. Productive Spindling, by Amelia Garripoli takes a look at top and bottom whorl as well as Turkish spindle spinning methods. The goal: to boost productivity while keeping spindling fun. --IdaW on The Lime & Violet Daily Chum

A useful little book for all spindle spinners. An especially good book for beginning 'I could never spin on a spindle' spinners.

This book is packed with tips for spindle spinning in general and how to spin a quantity of yarn on a spindle in particular. I especially liked the discussion about consistency in spinning and winding on leading to a more packed spindle, as well as the very helpful section on plying with spindles. --Jillian Moreno on Knitty Spin, Fall '09 Cool Stuff

About the Author
Amelia grew up knitting, sewing, and doing a variety of crafts, but didn't learn to spin until 2001, when she purchased a home that came with two llamas. Since then, she's been spinning up a storm, learning, teaching, and writing on her blog Ask The Bellwether as well as articles for KnittySpin, Spin-Off, Yarn Magazine, and other publications.
