![]() | Interweave Knits
Buy new: $25.00 The best knitting magazine in the US. I subscribe to this magazine because they have very wearable patterns. Some are classic and some are a little more out there, but they are all well written. Plus they have interesting articles and technique sections.

![]() | Knit Simple
Buy new: $19.97 A new find for me. The projects are designed mostly for beginners, but they work well as quick and easy knits for any level. I think this is by the Vogue Knitting people, aimed at a younger market. I am not a younger knitter, but I think many of the projects are appropriate for any age.

![]() | Spin Off
Buy new: $26.00 I am just starting to use a drop spindle to spin yarn. This magazine has lots of inspiration and practical ideas for spinners of all skill levels. Also features some beautiful knitting patterns. The sheep puppets they had a few years ago were among the cutest knit toys I have ever seen.

![]() | Quilts With Style
This magazine has mainly foundation piecing patterns, which are complex and (mostly) beautiful.
|
![]() | Quick Quilts
Buy new: $19.98 When I first started quilting, I liked this magazine a lot. Although I still enjoy flipping through it, the projects are too easy to merit using a pattern.

![]() | Threads
Buy new: $32.95 Until a few years ago I didn't read Threads. Most of the articles seemed to be for master dressmakers, which I am definitely not. Then they did a total revamp and have become a magazine that I really enjoy. The projects they have are still challenging, but seem much more do-able for me.

![]() | Fine Woodworking
Buy new: $34.95 Although I have always dreamed of having a wood shop, I don't actually do any woodworking. That said, I love this magazine. They make the projects look so interesting and attractive that I find myself wanting to buy some tools.

![]() | ReadyMade
I'm planning to subscribe to this magazine. They have an interesting range of products in lots of different crafts. Pretty pictures, too.
